Know what Fruit This is?
I don't know it as well. This image was just a forwarded pic included in an email sent to me by an old friend. I wonder how does this tastes like. Apparently, it is a fruit from Pomegranate trees . Ahhhh! That's the reason why I am very unfamiliar with this one. Cause we don't have it here.. LOL But admit it. Its color, texture and over all appearance is just intriguing. From reaserching, I found out that this fruit from the Wonderful pomegranate is delicious to eat fresh and also to make into a juice that is called grenadine that is a popular health drink filled with antioxidants. Wow, how about that. I'll ask hubby if they have it there locally. Labels: health and living

More on Renovation
I can say that the renovation in my in-laws house is 90%. In fact, they are now putting in the curtains that my in-laws bought yesterday. As much as I want to help, taking care of Terrence would not just permit me to do so. He tends to be soOoo needy of my attention. I was dead tired yesterday when I cam back from work that is why I didn't notice that they have also replaced the faucets in the washroom for guests' use. I am not sure though if it's Danze faucets. But one thing is for sure though, it looks really stylish. Not just your ordinary faucet. Labels: home fixtures

Officially Moving Out
Tomorrow, baby and I will be officially moving from Cavite to an apartment in Pasig. Currently, I am fixing all the things we're gonna bring as we move out. Most of my clothes are already in Pasig as I have been renting the unit for almost a year now. The things I am fixing are mostly for the little one. He just have so many clothes, and the clothes that his Dad and his paternal grandma are uber dami. I only have 1 Samsonite bag luggage so I am thinking to fill in the Caha de Oro plastic cabintes with his clothes. AS we move out, I am sure that Terrence will miss his lolo and lola, more especially his Tita to whom he would always make sumbong when ever I would bathe him. LOL Labels: travel and living

From Hubby's Blog
Hubby seldom updates his blog. But when he does, expect that it's gonna be all about Terrence, our little of bundle of joy.
So I am going to snatch this entry from his blog. :)

Lost Engagment Ring
Looking at our engagement pictures somehow makes me feel sad. Hubby just lost the engagement rings that he gave me, about 3 years ago. I suspect that he didn't really lose it. Rather, one of their maids misplaced the ring while cleaning our room. I am not really a jewwlry person so I take off all the jewelry I wear for a day before going to bed. Bummer. Had I known that it's just gonna be lost, I wouldn't have it take off for the rest of my life. Hmmfftt! Labels: fashion, wedding

Busy Bee
Last week was a busy week for me. Aside from the fact that we were in QC so that my little one could spend sometime with his maternal folks, I was able to buy a new HP lap top. The notebook that hubby gave me when he left last March just gave up on me. The screen has so many dead pixels that it could no longer be fixed, unless I buy a replacement of the LCD top. Anyway, I went to cyberzone last Thursday and found a good deal of notebooks for sale. It came with a free 2GB memory stick. But something bad happened to the notebook and that deserves another entry. Labels: computers

Dead Pixels
This laptop that I am using has some dead pixels already. When I told hubby about, he told me that he wants to buy a new laptop that I can use conveniently. But I begged off. At this time, we just have so many expenses that I couldn't afford to buy for some new items when I could have something as a replacement. The LCD TV that hubby bought a couple of years ago from US can be use as a lcd monitor.I just have to sort the cables necessary for the connection. Labels: computers

Almost There
Baptismal is set on December 13. I just have to confirm the time yet. Invites are ready for printing. Ninongs and ninangs have already been informed. Caterer has been booked. I opted not to get an event stylist anymore since we're just going to have the reception at my in-laws' house in Cavite. Bawi na lang sa first birthday si TJ since his dad is going to be home by that time. Hubby just sent the outfit that baby is going to wear for the occasion through LBC. It is expected to arrive sometime next week. We opted not to have the usual long gown.I, on the other hand is busy looking for a cake/souvenir supplier. Yeah. We're gonna have a cake/souvenir just like what we had during our wedding. Nagtitipid eh. I was supposed to book a supplier who is cavite-based but since it's taking her a long-time before she replies to my emails, I decided not to book her anymore. Anyway, I was able to find another supplier through the recommendation of another n@wie. Her cupcakes really look appealing. I hope that it's delicious too. More updates will be posted soon :) Labels: occasion, terrence

They Just Had To Give It Up
After 4 years of petroleum dealership, my in-laws' just had to give up managing one of Caltex-Chevron's gasoline station (if you are from the Noveleta/Kawit/Cavite City are, my in-laws used to manage Chevron's gas station in Noveleta, in front of Jollibee/McDonalds). Hindi naman lugi. Actually sales is doing very good despite of the fact that price would go up and down erratically. In fact, mother-in-law has already won various awards for highest sales of diesel and premium gas all over Luzon for 2 consecutive years. The problem lies with Chevron management itself. Sayang. Having somebody to depend on anytime of the day will be missed. At times, I would call the station for some things in the middle of the night and one of their gas boy would just deliver it to the house.Just like now, I feel so patay gutom at 2am. I am craving for ice cream. But I have no choice but to deal with the go nuts donuts my sister in-law bought me yesterday. *sigh*
Bebe on his glorious Caltex Boy days.. hehehe
They say it's just not worth the time and effort, no matter how much income it generates. Dang!
Anyway, now that Caltex is already closed, I would just stock up snacks and breads so that I could munch something at night.Labels: business, family

Is this a good one?
I just realized that the Graco stroller we bought for Terrence is too heavy for me to carry around. With that, I am thinking of buying a Mclaren stroller as suggested in the yahoo support group for mommies where I am a member of. I don't really need the latest design or the top of the line stroller. I just want a cheap stroller without compromising the quality. It has to be durable and comfortable for Terrence to ride to.
In search of the stroller, we found this style. This one costs P6,500 (I just converted it to peso from US dollar: P50=$1, plus taxes of P700 so it's really P7,200). The thing is, I don't know if this is a good stroller though I found some item description.
fabric & care - 66% Polyester, 34% PVC.
- Wipe clean.
- Imported.
details - Ergonomically optimized, sturdy, aeronautical-quality aluminum frame with foam insulated handles and a 5-point safety harness for maximum security, removable and washable mesh fixed-position seat.
- One-hand, compact umbrella fold, carry strap for easy portability, lockable front swivel wheels, foot-operated linked parking breaks, handy mesh shopping basket, water-resistant hood and rain cover.
- Recommended for ages six months and older and for a weight of up to fifty-five pounds.
- Lightweight at 9.5 pounds; 33" x 19" x 41.5".
In addition, I am still contemplating what color I should buy. Red? Blue? Pink? Sayang. Hindi ko naihabol sa package ni hubby. My 2 jumbo balikbayan boxes are set to arrive next week (yeah, those bags, shirts, perfumes and flip flops orders for Christmas season). I am wondering though if there is anybody out there who is willing to share the shipping cost. Instead of P6,500, price for the stroller will be P7,000. I am intending to buy this end of December. Package is expected to arrive mid-Feb. Any takers? EDITED at 3:40am: Thanks to Nikki (ni Dan) for this insight. This is a Maclaren™ Volo stroller. The kuripot in me strikes. Hahahahaha! Labels: baby stuff, terrence

More On Sports
I used to be a part of my highs school volleyball team where we competed with other public school from the district of Caloocan City. I was the tosser. My parents have been very supportive of me in every school activities that I participated. They even bought me a pair of FILA shoes (FILA was the "in" brand during my high school days) and I should say that having a comfy shoes helped me before well during the competition. That is why answering this survey kind of makes me feel excited.

Looking for a Second Job
Hubby is working as a full time clerk in one of the Orange County Law Office that deals with foreclosure homes. But as the US economy is going down, hubby is now looking for a second job. And since holiday is just around the corner (with Black Friday and Thanksgiving coming), retail jobs are really in demand. I hope he can find one soon. Terrence is growing so fast and before we know, he's already in college! Labels: work

Mittens Free
Yes. Terrence is now mittens-free at 6 weeks old. Though he no longer coughs, he still has colds. We're still doing his medication hopefully, until this Saturday. If things will go well, he will have his 6-in-1 vaccination next Saturday. Last Sunday, we were supposed to attend the mass at St. Mary Magdalene in Kawit, Cavite but we ended up going to Shrine of Jesus church in MOA. We came too early kasi for the mass. We had our dinner at Teriyaki Boy. Terrence's paternal grandma told me that she is going to buy a jacket for the little one but we ended up buying a few more items. I, on the other hand, purchased a L'oreal hair color. I haven't dyed my hair for a year now. And I need to be prettyful when I get back to work 2 weeks from now. I'll just have one of my MIL's parlor staff to do my hair para tipid. LOL Having my hair dyed at either Tony and Jackey or Menage Salon will cost me a fortune. Baby Clothes for a 6-12 months old babyAnyhoo, I still have to work on Terrence's baptismal supplier. Original plan was, Terrence will be christened sometime next year. But since he is so panisinin na every where we go (church, clinic), I decided to have his christening ASAP. Mahirap na mausog. At iwas bad spirit daw according to the elders. Too bad though that hubby won't be here. Well I guess we just have to deal with that and wait for the little one's birthday September of next year. I'ts medicine time now so I have to go! :) Labels: baby stuff, terrence, week end

When visiting U.S.
When visiting U.S., visiting the "sin city" is a must. I could just imagine the happiness of Russell's folks when they visited Las vegas for the first time. The place is so grandeur. When I asked them if they checked in one of those Las vegas hotel , they told me that they just got an condotel as getting a hotel for a one-week stay can be too costly. Las Vegas is on top of my list when we get to visit US next year. Labels: travel and living, vacation

Baby Stuff
I am cleaning our room when I thought of taking few pictures of Terrence's stuff I have. These are the things that his Dad bought a month before Terrence was born.
The nail clipper that has a 4x magnifying class.. iwas pudpod ng nails! :)
400+pcs of diaper and 15 pcs of baby wipes (tipid!)
Few clothes that Terrence hasn't use yet.
For the crib na hindi pa naka set up.
The breast pump that I never got to use (may nawawalang part ng linisin ng maid) Hindi ko pa nagugupitan ng nails si baby so he is still using mittens. I just finished "nebulizing" Terrence. So far, it seems that his cough and colds are getting better naman.

HayYyy..sayang!
In two weeks time, I will receive one jumbo and one regular sized package box courtesy of hubby. I am now in the process of collecting some online stuff for the next batch of package that hubby will send sometime Feb of next year. I got tired of surfing Old Navy website so I shifted to Gap. com and I found these.

Sayang! Di ko naihabol. $10 lang eh. Naka-sale kasi. Sana available pa sya till next year. :(Labels: online finds

On Home Improvements
I have mentioned in my previous post that my in-laws house is undergoing renovation. At first, I thought that the renovation would just be the living room area and the staircase. But as the renovation goes (for some reason), they have renovated the whole house! In addition, they also bought few set of furniture which included a home theater system (without the theater seating .) Every once in a while, hubby and I would always talk about building our dream home. I have seen Toni Gonzaga's house being featured in one of those showbiz magazines and I just heart her home theater system. And I want the same. Hope we can afford to have one in the future.Labels: entertainment, home fixtures, technology

Meet LILET and some more Pictures
No. I am not mad with anyone. It's just me talking about my son. While his lolo and lola call him "pogi" or "tisoy" ('coz he got golden brown hair and eye browse), I call him "patay-gutom", with a smile on my face of course. At 5 weeks, Terrence now weighs 11.22 lbs (that is 5.1 kilos). I found this out since we went to the hospital today because the little brat has cough and colds (Side Story: The attending physician asked me if I have my baby's hair colored. Hellar? I was able to breastfed Baby for only 3 weeks. After that, my manual breast pump just broke. And there was milk no more. Oh well, I will just try breastfeeding again on our next baby (hmmm..5 years from now?!) Heniwey highway, going back to Terrence: At his age, I should only be feeding him 4 oz of milk ever 4 hours. But what happens is that, he would consume 5 oz in just 3 hours. I tried fooling him by giving him water after his formula milk but no. Little peanut already knows the difference between water and formula milk. As much as I want to follow the hours and amount of formula milk intake, I just can't. Aatungal ang anak ko sa iyak. Hindi na rin umuubra ang pacifier. There are times that I tried ignoring him but he would just cry out loud that his face would turn into violet.
Meet LILET (Read: Liletchunin.. hahahaha!) Anyway, Princess (my sister-in-law) went to Cavite this week end to celebrate all saints day with us. I wasn't feeling well and my eyes were too heavy that I didn't realize that she actually came to our room to say "Hi" to me. Too bad though that Terrence and I were not able to visit the cemetery since the kiddo is sick. Based from their pictures, they had fun "visiting" Nanay Pene.
We attended Sunday mass today (as usual) at Our Lady of Lourdes in Tagaytay. Afterwhich, we headed to Dencio's to have our dinner. Thank God that Terrence was not that cranky all the time we were eating. Nakalamon tuloy ako ng maayos. Maraming gud luck sa pagpapayat! LOL

Kulay Tanso ang buhok ni kolokoy

That's all folks! 'Till next update! :)
