Productive Sunday
Despite of the fact that I experienced LBM early this morning, I was still able to do the things I needed to do today. Did some grocer shopping today that is already good for 2 weeks and bought Terrence's needs that are good for weeks. I have also paid some of my credit card bills that area already due and I was able to pay some of the online stuff that I bought through multiply. Tomorrow is going to be another challenging day for me. I am looking forward for a brighter and easier week though. :) Labels: wala lang

Terrence and Insurance
Mama Luvie just gave me application forms of insurance for Terrence. She wants me to get Terrence an insurance so that she can file it together with business insurance the that she is going to have from PhilAm. We're gonna split the payment. I haven't review yet the inclusion and what-nots of the plan. Mama said though that the next time we're gonna be in Cavite, she's gonna set up a metting with the agent so that I can ask all the questions that I have regarding this pre-need plan. Confirmed
Confirmed is the day that we will officially move this February to the apartment I've been renting near the office for almost a year now. New Flash: Come February 1, our shift will be on a permanent 10pm-6am. And just because 6-8am are considered as "rush" hour, riding FX or getting a cab is especially taxing. With this movement though, I am not going to get the service of those as moving companies I already have all our things in our apartment as early as December. Labels: all about family

Savy with Electronics
If there is one thing that hubby is most capable doing of is fixing defective elctronic items. He just unlocked phone, in fact, an iPhone a couple of months ago. He also unlocked another phone which he was able to sell at ebay. I was telling him that he should have taken a course that is somewhat related to electronics instead of mass communications. But given the chance to study again, he would opt to take vet med he said. Labels: all about Russell

Overdue post on electronic loot
I hear crickets in this blog. LOL
I still have to post some entires on the online shopping spree that we had for the last holiday season. We didn't but those expensive items but what we have purchased are enough to cover our needs.
It was early November my my good old Compaq Presario lap top gave up on me. It wouldn't boot properly and the screen would just turn into white. I know that something is wrong with its motherboard but I didn't opt to have it fixed anymore since it already has dead pixels as well. Hubby and I were talking about it over the phone when he said that he's gonna buy me a lap top next month. Meaning, by end of December. His balikbayan boxes will be shipped and will be received only on February 2009. So what the heck. I will have nothing to use for 3 darn months! So the day after we talked, I went to Cyberzone SM North Edsa to look for a reasonably priced lap top. I am really not that techy but at least I know what specs I really need and I still know some intermediate troubleshooting (thanks for being a Dell sales person for a year! LOL).After so much contemplation, I finally got myself a Compaq Presario CQ40.It came with a free HP carrying bag, a 2 GB flash drive and came with a licensed OS W Vista. Read its specifications here.
When I arrived home, I immediately asked hubby to go online. He was surprised and asked me how did I manage to go online when I don't have any laptop to use (bro is using his own for work purposes). I told him I already bought one coz I can't wait for his. To his dismay, he spilled the beans. Turns out, he bought me a MacBook. Bummer! BUT... hey! I am really not a MAC person. Yeah I know, Apple is a good brand and it looks sosyal to use. But for practical reasons, I like PC more than MAC. First one, I don't know how the OS of MAC works. If I am unlucky and I need to reformat the hard drive and install its OS, I am really a mac-challenged. Two, if ever I experience problems with Mac, I don't want to go to a service service for a simple problem nd pay a hefty amount for it. Yeah I know that macs come with a one-year warranty. But what about the year after that?Needless to say, I opted to have my Presario than his MAC. He already got a notebook of his own and he doesn't need a spare one. He's just gonna sell it daw. Fine. Lesson learned: Ask first before buying anything. LOLDuring the Black Friday Sale, hubby bought a (another affordable stuff) 10MP point and shoot camera. Less than $100 lang! hehehehe! It was a dismay that the DSLRs were not even sold at discounted price. I am eyeing pa amann for a Canon XSi. hayYyyY..di bale.. sa March na lang. He also bought his mom and blue ray disc player. Tamang-tama because they already have a Series 6 Samsung LCD TV. Sana lang ako din binilhan. LOL
I owe this blog a lot of updates. I am prepping myself to have all the updates posted within the day.Labels: shopping

More on Wedding Details
As I was browsing my wedding pictures (together with some of my co-workers), another friend came to ask me how much did the wedding neckties worn by my entourage cost me. The ones worn by the bridal party were just rented for P80. Yep. That's how cheap it is. But for our ninong, we bought the Pierre Cardin silk ties for only P380 each. That is still a steal as the ones we saw in the department store as already for P300 and these are not even silk. Having my entourage wore the same ties really made good wedding pictures for us. And this post just reminded me that I still have to send our photographer the list of the pictures we want to have. Labels: wedding details

Transcom Olympics
We have just concluded the billiards and basketball tournament in our company. One fellow from the QA department won the billiards competition. I didn't actually know that such competition until I received an email sent to the entire Manila Team that our fellow indeed won. Perhaps, this is the reason why another co-worker in the same department asked me how much do basketball trophies cost in Recto. I told them that it is actually 200% cheaper than those being sold in the malls. Oh well, I just hope that there will be a volleyball competition...soon. Labels: office hush-hush

Where to this summer vacation?
My fabulous gay friends and I are planning where we are heading this summer for the very much anticipated summer vacation. James has just been to Catanduanes and he has nothing but praises for this paradise. Not much for a crowd draw. And that's where the problem lies. The other gay guys are into crowd and so the only two options that we have is either Puerto Galera or Boracay. When hubby and I stayed in Bora last year, we met few good people who offers vacation rentals. Heck, hotel accomodation prices really soar high during summer so we really need to look for cheap alternatives. Labels: travel and living

I was browsing my office mate's wedding pictures and there I saw myself with bulges on my waiste line. Yikes! I am starting to reduce my rice intakes. And I think I'll need an auxilliary fitness equipmet like the treadmill. Labels: healthy living

An Impromptu Emcee
I still have to blog about this. I was supposed to act just a wedding coordinator but just because James and Josh arrived late, I had no choice but to start the program. Mahado na kasing matagal ang paghihintay ng guests sa kasal nila Ian. AyYy haggard!

No LCD TV Yet
Mama hasn't buy yet her wish of having an LCD HD TV for a a very simple reason- she hasn't find the perfect tv stand for it. I know this sounds lame but for my mom, everything has to be coordinated. Having a new TV only deserves a new TV stand. She doesn't want the TV to be put in a 6-year old TV stand. I told that she better find one ASAP as new trend of TV is about to come out soon. I saw a TV magazine program where it showcased a TV that can be rolled off. Yep you read it right. A TV than can be rolled off. I'm pretty sure it's gonna be costly just like the time when the LCD TV was first introduced. Labels: electronics
