They say that when a child is born, a parent is born. This blog will tell my stories as I balance the demands of work, a social schedule and the rearing of my precious child. This blog will also tell you everything about home improvements (I have just moved to a new apartment). As a restless lady, I will also tell you my travel and vacation stories. Reviews on books, music, gadgets, fashion, shopping experiences, current events and business matters will also be discussed here.

Senti
It’s 12:35 am. I’m just sneaking out from work. It’s not that toxic but somehow I just need a break. Maybe it’s the hormones. I am not sure. While I’m listening to some MP3s, I just feel senti again. May is just around the corner. Baby’s first birthday is fast approaching. Soon, we’ll be welcoming December. Somehow, I just feel like December is forever. It makes me think that I can’t wait for that long. When I got married, I never expected that I’ll be building a family by my self. That I’ll be taking care of my baby- on my own. Hey don’t get me wrong. I know that hubby is also sacrificing a lot. Working abroad is not a joke. It takes a lot of patience. But hey, I am a woman. And I am entitled to feel this way. The only consolation that I have right now is knowing the fact that we can start our business and maybe, build our dream house 5 years from now. With that, I think I should start thinking of where to buy a receipt printer. Labels: all about family, emotion

Securing His Future
It was my mother in-law who persuaded me to get some sort of a long-term savings account for Terrence. No, it’s not a time deposit kind of savings. It’s actually a form of savings where we would pay a premium of P60k annually for 5 years. The savings will mature in 15 years (after the 5th year of payment). We will get the calculated face value plus interest plus dividend. It was actually a good investment. It’s not as liquid as a savings or a time deposit account. God forbids but just in case something will happen to me, I know that Terrence’s future is already secured. As the payer, I am also entitled to a life insurance.

After receiving the policy and proof of payment, I have thought of looking for mortgage protection life insurance. Who knows, I might need it in the future. Labels: investment, security

May Pakinabang
It’s been my routine to buy Terrence’s formula milk that will be good for a month every ayday. Last Thursday, we went to Megamall to buy some baby stuff. It was the first time that I tagged along Terrence on my grocer shopping. I can tell that Terrence had fun. And my proof? See below.

Isn’t he cute? Terrence has been such a dolly when ever I would bring out a camera in front of him. I was actually telling him that he should push the cart so that he will have "pakinabang" to me. LOL
Oh by the way, before I forgot I just paid the annual premium for baby's account in AIG. Next in line in my research is the quest for the mose reasonable insurance quotes quote.Labels: baby talk, investment

I am now in QC spending the week end with my folks. I was watching Today at NBC when I saw this clip. I am really amazed awith how God do his work that in some way, everyone will have something that will make him/her stand out. This video gave me goosebumps. Watch it and promise, you'll be amazed too!
The unlikely Britain’s Got Talent sensation Susan Boyle has become such an internet hit that Hollywood star Demi Moore has been Twittering about her.
The actress’s husband Ashton Kutcher spotted the frumpy but talented unemployed Scot, posting a link to a video of her much-discussed Saturday night singing performance on his Twitter page.
“This just made my night," wrote the That Seventies Show actor.
Moore, who starred in Nineties blockbusters A Few Good Men and Ghost, responded to her husband on the mini-blog site, saying, “You saw it made me teary!"
Boyle won over a cynical audience in the first episode of the new Britain’s Got Talent series on the weekend and her performance quickly became a YouTube hit.
The 48-year-old was initially greeted with scornful looks after confessing she had never been kissed and struggling for words when she appeared on stage. But her rendition of I Dreamed A Dream from the musical Les Miserables, brought the crowd to their feet.

I am such a loser!
A lot of people in the office still have the holy week hang over. Most of them went to Puerto Galera, Baguio, Boracay and Bohol. If only my schedule had allowed me to go on vacation, I would have joined my in-laws and my baby as they enjoyed the white beach of Anilao batangas. Unfortunately, I was tied to the office. I was actually left with no choice but just browse some travel packages like Machu Picchu travel. I know, I am such a loser! LOL My sister will be leaving for Japan soon. If everything will go out as planned, our family (together with family) will be spending a white Christmas in Japan. I am excited! Labels: travel and living

Wear Your Helmet
About a week ago, the terrible news of a co-worker getting involved in a vehicular accident made a lot of employees frightened. As a call center worker, we are exposed to a lot of work hazards. The accident happened along the C-5 bridge at around 3am. According to some hearsays, “brain matter” was all over the bridge. I initially thought that the victim was riding a car and that there was a need for car lifts but another high ranking employee disclosed that the victim was actually a back rider in a motorcycle and that she didn’t wear any helmet. The driver only sustained minor wounds. A collection box has been passed around the entire operations area. I didn’t know her. But her story made me sad. May she rest in peace.
